Interactive Whiteboard using a Wiimote
Ok, my first project to start of this blog will be the creation of an Interactive Whiteboard using a Wiimote.
I came across this project courtesy of the TED presentation by Johnny Lee: Johnny Lee's TED Presentation
I rarely seem to get excited about low cost solutions to established high-end technological products, but I was gobsmacked when I came across this. Put simply you are able to a interactive, multi-touch, Whiteboard using a Nintendo WiiMote and infra-red light pen thanks to Johnny Lee. More info can be found here: Johnny Lee's Wiimote Project
With a thirst to try this out myself, I set about finding more info. I came across this useful (UK based) Blog on how to create the infra red pen required for this project. A couple days later, and a couple of trips of Maplin, and I have created my prototype pen. The next steps in this Blog will detail how I created my pen and hopefully include some photos and videos.
